Children's Ministry
A safe, fun, and vibrant place for children (from infants to 6th grade) to learn and grow in their relationship with Jesus. We use a multitude of age appropriate activities while incorporating music, games, Bible stories, crafts, and collaborative play.
Men's Ministry
The essential purpose of the men's ministry is to connect men of the church so that they may grow together in Christ. This is accomplished through various means, including a monthly prayer-breakfast, where they meet to pray, to discuss God’s Word, and to encourage each other.
Teens' & Young Adults' Ministry
The Teen & Young Adults' Ministry of FBC is for 9th grade to college. The church of today needs a strong and passionate teen and young adult population as they are the church’s next generation. Our mission is to provide an outlet and atmosphere whereby they are given the resources to thrive emotionally, socially, and spiritually in a world that is ever-changing and complex; while asserting their distinctive gifts, talents, and ministries. We purposefully strive to provide opportunities for growth through resources and programs which assist them in being change agents and lights in the world. Most of all, this ministry is led purposefully with the underlying objective of teaching solid biblical truth – “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 1:4).
Women's Ministry
The Women’s ministry strives to provide a space where all women are welcomed no matter their generation or phase of life. The objective of our ministry is to help women understand their God-given purpose and equip them with the tools to accomplish that calling whether it be motherhood or a place in the professional world. Our ministry exists to serve our women by teaching Scripture, mentoring and discipleship, and providing meaningful fellowship opportunities, which in turn results in deeper earthly and heavenly relationships. We are grateful to be able to provide an encouraging outlet to women to foster their growth in the body of Christ.
Evangelism & Outreach
There are several opportunities to serve in the church but our Missions Team was created to spread the gospel locally, nationally, and internationally. Also, we are a proud member of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore - if you are in need of food, please contact us.
